چکیده
Understanding the genetic background of elite cultivated tomato germplasm resources in crossbreeding and revealing basis complex traits are vital for better-targeted expansion creation strong hybrids. Here, we obtained approximately 21 million single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) based on sequencing 212 accessions population structure which was revealed. More importantly, found that target genes distributed chromosomes 1, 5, 9, 11 may be actively selected breeding. In particular, significant signals related to soluble sugar content (chr1_94170222, chr1_96273188, chr9_4167512, chr11_55592768), fruit firmness (chr5_4384919 chr5_5111452) gray leaf spot resistance (chr11_8935252 chr11_9707993) were also detected corresponding chromosomes, respectively. Overall, reported 28 association nine agronomic a mixed linear model (MLM), including 114 genes. Among these signals, contained potential novel six traits. These candidate located genomic regions without previously known loci or different explained 16% phenotypic variance average tomatoes. findings could accelerate identification validation QTLs, improving understanding quantitative results provide breeding improvement.

Enhancing Brassinosteroid Signaling via Overexpression of Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) SlBRI1 Improves Major Agronomic Traits
Brassinosteroids (BRs) play important roles in plant growth, development, and stress responses through the receptor, Brassinosteroid-insensitive 1 (BRI1), which perceives BRs and initiates BR signaling. There is considerable potential agricultural value in regulating BR signaling in crops. In this study, we investigated the effects of overexpressing the tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) BRI1 gene, ...
متن کاملIdentification and characterization of histone deacetylases in tomato (Solanum lycopersicum)
Histone acetylation and deacetylation at the N-terminus of histone tails play crucial roles in the regulation of eukaryotic gene activity. Histone acetylation and deacetylation are catalyzed by histone acetyltransferases and histone deacetylases (HDACs), respectively. A growing number of studies have demonstrated the importance of histone deacetylation/acetylation on genome stability, transcrip...

Tomato, ranking 1st in the world for vegetables, accounts for 14% of world vegetable production (over 100 million metric tons/year $ 1.6 billion market; (Food and Agriculture Organisation [FAO] 2010). Tomato is a rich source of micronutrients for human diet. It is also an acknowledged model species for research on fruit development and metabolite accumulation. The major goals of tomato breeders...
متن کاملAssessment of genetic variation in Bulgarian tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) genotypes, using fluorescent SSR genotyping platform
Genetic variability in modern crops is limited due to domestication and selection processes. Genetic variation in eight Bulgarian tomato varieties and breeding lines (variety Plovdivska karotina, variety IZK Alya, L21β, L53β, L1140, L1116, L975, L984) differing in their morphological and biochemical composition was assessed using a highly efficient and low-cost fluorescent simple sequence repea...
متن کاملIdentification of Microsatellite Markers Associated with Important Agronomic Traits in Quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa, Willd)
In this research, 50 quinoa genotypes were investigated using 40 pairs of microsatellite markers (SSR) to identify the superior genotypes in terms of grain yield, the components affecting it, and the features linked to the studied traits were also introduced using Association Analysis. The study of grain yield traits and the factors affecting it showed that the traits of day to physiological ma...
